  • Car Providers: These are Members who supply Vehicles to other people through our Platform.
  • Car Hirers: These are Members who hire or otherwise lease Vehicles from a Car Provider through our Platform.

Membership is open to all nationalities; however, membership benefits and our liability are restricted to individuals physically present in Kenya at the time of their use of our Services.

We strive to provide you with a fulfilling online car hire experience whether, you are a car provider or a car hirer. To enable us to deliver this promise to you, we will ask you to share with us some of your personal information (also referred to as, “personal data”) for your own benefit and convenience of use of our services, and for legal reasons too.

  • name, email address, age, citizenship, home address, date of birth, telephone number(s), country of nationality, photographs of individuals, Vehicles and associated items, GPS data if a tracker is installed in your vehicle and we have access to the data emanating therefrom, details of your Vehicle if you are a Car Provider, details of any products or Services you provide, other personal data if you choose to register or access the Platform through third party sites such as Google, and have provided your personal information on those third party sites, credit/debit card information, information and documentation you provide to you when you communicate with us and use our Services, data about the devices used to access our Services, communication data such as sms and recordings of conversations, and information provided from third party sources that we partner with.

  • verify the information Members provide us with;

  • carry our research and improve our Services;

Whom do we share your data with?

With your consent, signified by you accepting this privacy policy, we may share your data with our partners or affiliated entities including our Services providers so that they can offer Services on our behalf, offer you their products and Services, and/or carry out any part of the Services delegated to them.   • the right to be informed - you have the right to be informed of the use to which your personal information is to be put;
  • the right to access - you have the right to request us or any other person or entity engaged by us to Process your personal information, to provide you with copies of your personal information. We may charge you a small fee for this Services;
  • the right to correction - you have the right to request us to correct any information you believe is inaccurate. You also have the right to request us to complete information you believe is incomplete. You can edit your personal details, including changing your preferences as to the material you wish to receive from us or our partners, through your profile page whenever you wish;
  • the right to erasure - you have the right to request that we erase your personal data, under certain conditions such as where the information is false or misleading; and

Precise geolocation (Location Access) data

If you give us your consent, we can collect your precise geolocation (latitude and longitude) from your device. The collection of your geolocation occur when you are using our app when you aren’t using our app we will not be able to collect your location data. If you decline permission for us to collect your precise geolocation, we will not collect it, and our services that rely on precise geolocation may not be available to you. your precise geolocation (latitude and longitude) we collect we do not store it anywhere, we only use it to enable you know your location and calculate the distance between you and where the car is for your easy access and ocating the car.

Camera Permission access

Camera access is required for this Royal Rides app to unleash its full potential by allowing users to capture and upload their profile image for the purpose of verifying if they are the real people doing registration on the platform. This data is not shared with any other part whatsoever.

Cookies are text files placed on your computer to collect standard internet log information and visitor behaviour information. When you visit our Website or Platform, we may collect information from you automatically through cookies or similar technology. We may also use cookies from third party websites, usually for our marketing and promotional efforts.
